The return of textures Hooray!!

Posted on 13 November 2013

The return of textures! After a long trend of pristine white walls, Hamptons beiges and duck egg blues I am so happy to see the return of natural textures and bold wallpapers and feature pieces.

No longer reserved for Swedish saunas Wood panelling is back and I love it!

I have seen a recent trend of feature wood panel walls and some designers turning it all upside down with floors on the ceiling and ceiling s on the floor.

Well not really but these days you would be excused for thinking that with the other current trend of polished concrete floors contrasted with natural wood paneled ceilings!

Here are some clever examples of Wood paneling I have seen that I love.

This Pannelled Shelving ( as seen in Home Living) on this kitchen island beautifully integrates the living areas. It looks styish and for me personally it is fantastic as it supports my addiction to buying "gorgeous" little nick nacks, candles and vintage glasses!

 I want one!!

A fabulous little feature nook that makes fantastic use of space and looks cosy and inviting.

A perfect example of how warm wood pannelling can make a space feel.

Don't even get me started on wallpapers!!!

A wallpaper blog to come soon as its just too beautiful! Imagine just one wall in your house looking tropical and inviting??
